In questo blog ci sarà sempre posto per Czeslaw Milosz.
It is no wonder, then, that Milosz described The Captive Mind as a “battlefield.” It was a battlefield in the war of ideas that was waged in the face of a tyranny that was determined to eradicate not only individual volition but even the memory of its prior existence—a tyranny, as The Captive Mind reminded us, that was molding “the lives of 800 millions of human beings.” |
