Europe decadence. Perchè il vecchio continente non produce di più? Perchè non investe e perchè non liberalizza. Insomma, la solita storia. L'analisi di Business Week:
But what exactly is wrong? The short answer is that Europe is not seeing the same productivity bang from information technology that the U.S. has enjoyed over the past decade. The long answer is that uniquely European factors -- from stiff job-protection codes to hidden barriers against competition -- amplify the problem. "The U.S. is a 'just do it' society, whereas Europe has more of a 'let's think about it' society." That results in a greater hesitancy to buy into the benefits of IT and, therefore, to lower IT spending. Si vede anche in politica. |
