Che fretta c’era. Visto che ci è arrivata anche Amnesty possiamo ufficialmente dichiarare che la pulizia etnica in Sudan esiste. Adesso sarebbe il caso di mandare al diavolo quell’idiozia colossale che alcuni battezzano «multilateralismo», di seppellire quell’inguardabile organizzazione internazionale che si fa chiamare Nazioni Unite e di agire in base ad un semplice principio di civiltà: chi massacra i propri cittadini va fermato. Tanto i campioni dell’umanitarismo e del pacifismo sono in vacanza. Magari se facciamo qualcosa contro un regime fondamentalista stavolta non se ne accorgono.
Why should the West's ability to help Darfur be dependent on the visa section of the Sudanese embassy? The world would be a better place if the UN, or the democratic members thereof, declared that thug states forfeit the automatic deference to sovereignty. Since that won't happen, it would be preferable if free nations had a forum of their own in which decisions could be reached before every peasant has been hacked to death. The Coalition of the Willing has a nice ring to it. Intanto: processi-farsa e solidarietà femminile. |
