Tibet. Se cinquant'anni vi sembran pochi. La diaspora preferisce non decidere e aspettare le mosse di Pechino:
Hundreds of Tibetan leaders agreed Saturday to continue to follow the Dalai Lama's ''middle path'' of compromise with China, capping a rare meeting to discuss how to advance their struggle for freedom. Mancano al movimento una classe dirigente e una linea politica. La Cina potrà continuare a fare e disfare a piacimento. Ma un precedente è stato comunque stabilito e la comunità tibetana ha almeno trovato la forza per mettere in discussione il dogma dell'infallibilità della sua guida spirituale: But the decision to support the Tibetan spiritual leader's approach to continue talks with Beijing was viewed as conditional on progress being made. (...) for the first time there are caveats, and alternative views have been endorsed. The meeting concluded that if China makes no effort to meet the Dalai Lama's demands then other options, including calls for independence and self determination, would be put forward. Delegates also suggested that the Dalai Lama's envoy should not return to China unless attitudes change in Beijing. |
